How we are paid
A private house should be plain about money. Here is exactly what a case costs, when it is billed, and what is out of scope.
§ Case review
Free
First 30 minutes with a partner. No obligation, no card required.
§ Success fee
18–25%
Of funds actually recovered. Agreed in writing before we start. No recovery, no fee.
§ Disbursements
At cost
Court filings, notarisation, translations — invoiced only if incurred, and only with prior written approval above £150.
§ Included in the success fee
- Initial case review by a named partner
- Evidence file assembly (SAR, statements, chain-of-title)
- Correspondence with your bank, card scheme or exchange
- Escalation to Financial Ombudsman / Allmänna reklamationsnämnden equivalents
- On-chain tracing (BTC / ETH / stablecoin flows) where applicable
- Regulator and law-enforcement notifications on your behalf
§ We will never ask you for
- Upfront "retainer" or "insurance" fees
- "Unlock", tax, licence or wallet-release payments
- Requests to install remote-access software (AnyDesk, TeamViewer)
- Cold contact claiming a pending refund
- Cryptocurrency paid to a personal wallet
